How I help

What people bring through the door

Most people have been trying to manage on their own for quite awhile and finally decide that waiting is not the solution to the problem.

Anxiety & overthinking

A mind that won't turn down — worry on a loop, restlessness, trouble settling even when nothing is wrong.

Depression & low mood

Heaviness that doesn't lift, loss of interest, or days that have quietly lost their color.

Grief & loss

Grief that's lingering longer than you expected, or that arrives again when you thought you'd moved through it.

Life transitions & identity

Figuring out who you are in this season — an empty nest, a career shift, divorce, retirement, or a chapter that ended without your say.

Perimenopause & postmenopause

Anxiety, anger, or low mood that seemed to arrive out of nowhere. Sleep that won't hold, fog that won't clear, and the question of who you are on the other side of it.

Evaluations & return to work

Mental health and substance abuse evaluations, whether recommended or mandated — DOT and non-DOT employers, and the Kentucky Board of Nursing. A clear process, documentation your employer or board will accept, and a realistic plan for getting back to work.

About Melanie

Thirty years of caring and practical support

My therapeutic style is warm, relational, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be fully themselves while navigating life transitions and emotional challenges. I take a solution-focused, insight-oriented approach that blends empathy, practical support, and gentle guidance to help build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

I've been drawn to helping others since childhood, fueled by a servant's heart and a gift for attunement and empathy. When I'm not working, I'm deeply family-oriented and treasure quality time with the people I love.

Getting started

Simple, confidential, and comfortable

Starting is more straightforward than most people expect.

1

However you find your way here

Many people reach out for themselves. Others are pointed here by a doctor, a family member, or a friend. However you arrive, it starts with a call, a text, or an email.

2

In person or online

Sessions are scheduled at the office in Louisville or by telehealth anywhere in Kentucky and Indiana — whichever is easier.

3

Covered by insurance and Medicare

Services are available to clients with employer or commercial insurance, Medicare Part B, Humana Medicaid, and Indiana Medicaid plans. Benefits can be discussed prior to the initial session.

4

Focused on getting unstuck

The goal is real: stronger coping skills, feeling validated, and better overall well-being.

Get in touch

Start a conversation

Reaching out is the hardest part. A call, a text, or an email is enough to start.

Please don't include personal health details in your first message — we'll gather what's needed once we connect.
